Hotels, Casinos, and the whole Dallas mess

So, I am sitting here listning to all the news about how the Dallas, Texas Mayor would like to build a half billion (yeah BILLION) dollar resort downtown to boost convention dollars. Well, as you can expect, the taxpayers in Dallas for the most part want none of this. Who can blame them right?

The next story on the news was about how some have started making noise wanting to legalize casinos in (you guessed it) Dallas! The very same taxpayers seem to be all for the casino deal, and it appears to be good for the economy in not only Dallas, but all of north Texas.

How long is it going to take the leaders in Dallas to put 2 and 2 together? I am quite sure the casino people would have no problem building a billion dollar resort right in the middle of Dallas, as long as they can put their big assed casino right next door. Taxpayers would pay nothing in this deal as the casino would be bankrolling all of it, the mayor would get his big assed resort, the casino supporters would get their casino, and you wanna talk about conventions, the number one thing conventioneers look for is something to do.

Come on folks, lets get this done so I don't have to travel so far to go to the casino...lol.
